2009-09-12 Culture Week - Siman di Kultura

The Culture Week will take place from September 12 till September 21. The slogan: "be proud to live your culture". It's a week of authentic cultural festivities with extensive opportunity to get to know the culture of Curacao.

Culture Week

In 2004 the Culture House started with the organization of the Culture Week, by encouraging the locals to be proud to live their culture, because culture is the motor for sustainable development. The Culture Week is part of the strategy of the Culture House, to create more awareness regarding our own culture.

During the Culture Week most organizations like schools, semi governmental organizations (foundations), women's clubs, intramural institutions such as boarding schools, the prison, rehabilitation centers, sport centers, state and private companies and uniformed groups organize cultural activities. They participate actively in the celebration of the Culture Week by decorating, organizing lectures and workshops, holding expositions, cooking Creole food, organizing excursions and festive cultural get-togethers. Wherever you go during the Culture Week, you will definitely feel the cultural ambience.

The Culture House invites you to visit Curacao from September 12 to 21, 2008. Come and get to learn more about our culture and join our cultural feast!
